The Sight of Warmth
My drawing I decided to name is called the "Sight of Warmth". The feeling of warm weather and sun is something I truly love and makes me feel amazing. I was walking outside and saw a whole block of all tulips bloomed and some not bloomed. The beauty and sight of it is amazing. When I see tulips pop out of the ground, I know spring and sunshine is just around the corner. I was very influenced and impacted by the joy and how it caught my eyes outside especially when there is hundreds and hundreds of them. Also, my grandmother loves them, and I always remember going to her house and seeing tulips on her front yard. I can still see them in my head today. The theme here with my pictures is to show the beauty of mother nature and the joy and beauty flowers bring to the world. I had to get creative with and how to approach this drawing. The last time I drew a flower was a sunflower in 2nd grade. That was when I really knew very little about any art. I spent hours and days working on these two pictures because I Wanted it to be great. I can’t settle for good. My drawings are successful because I was able to walk away from them and clear my mind at time when I was drawing and got frustrated. Coming back with a clear mind helped me focus better and draw better. Having the pictures close by was a big factor to make me successful as well and I am grateful for having clear and proper pictures to look at. With my drawings there were difficulties when I was drawing the texture and shape of the tulip head. I had a little hard time getting it where I wanted to. Also, another challenge I faced was to see how big the head was going to be I wanted to make that just right. Overall, these challenges were faced head on and has made my skill sets even sharper here and I am forever grateful for this experience. This is one of my favorite pieces I have ever drawn.
